My love letter to the ocean

Dear Mama Ocean,

Your vibration settles me.

In your vastness, it feels safe to be small—

to belong.

On land, gravity crushes me.

But you lift me.

In you, I’m weightless,

graceful,

free.

Your waves pull me into the present—

each swell its own language,

each break a new beginning.

With you, time loosens its grip.

You summon my truest self,

the one who surrenders and trusts,

the one who becomes pure movement and breath.

I’ve always imagined myself in you as a mother—

your salt mirroring the womb.

When I surfed with a flicker of life inside me,

I felt us woven together.

Mama Ocean, Thank you for holding me, and teaching me to let go.

Thank you for the peace, the power, and the pieces of myself you’ve returned to me.

you are the place my spirit remembers how to breathe.
